Nice strawman fallacy, friend.
You wanna present an actual argument in your next post or you wanna try a different fallacy and hope I don't notice next time. -
Wow, you're an arrogant little prick. The idea that feminism is inherently nonsensical is itself a pretty stupid idea. I've tried arguing this point many times before on this site, I'm done trying to be rational with people who make irrational arguments. Some ideas don't deserve that respect, they simply deserve to be mocked.

Third-wave feminism is unnecessary.

Nonsense, Feminism is about taking a universal issue and narrowing it down until it effects only half the population. Granted, in the past it had its usefulness, but that doesn't change the fact that we should be focusing on the grander scale of Egalitarianism rather than the limited scale of Feminism.
Both of these achieve the same ends for females, but Egalitarianism also allows freedom for gays, blacks and anything else that requires the same rights as everyone else. While it's all well and good to lift females to the same level as men, simply ending there and going 'well, feminism did its job' is nonsensical because the issue at large still exists except for in the very limited sphere you've created. -
yeah pretty much tongue. I mean hey, lets ignore the fact that feminism has an epic history of pursuing one brilliantly mischosen battle after another. Let's pretend that the people would actually benefit from the conformist ideals preached in their rhetoric. Lets pretend there's absolutely no chance that women and men, and in fact all people, simple aren't biologically equip differently for civilization then one another.
lets ignore the hundreds of other controversies that are very real, and inherit to feminism, and just say that feminism ridiculous because I'm sexist.
lol f---ing idiot -
Whatever dude, you're entitled to your opinion and I don't have any aspirations of changing it, cuz quite frankly it's easy to mock idiots like you than to reason with you. But it's worth pointing out that you have made the same claims you made in your last post many times before and rarely (or never) provide any examples or evidence to support them. So really you just sound like a b----. Clearly everyone here either lacks the intelligence or the balls to challenge you, and frankly I no longer have the mental energy for it. Too many arguments on this site over the years have worn me out, and quite frankly I gave up trying awhile ago.
So I guess that is my personal farewell message to you. I'm 23 years old and I've gotten all I could out of this site, it's time to move on. All I needed was the right push and you helped provide it. -
lol well in that case, sorry I sound like a b----. good luck with the life thing.

Non-sensical fights on here are why I've quit posting. I just don't have the mental energy to care about this place anymore. I appreciate the friends I've made and the fights I've had, but I'm honestly just done. Only reason I still post at all is because I'm a mod and feel obligated to check this place.

the fact that you feel an obligation to continue moderating is weird man.
the fact that tongue feels obligated to formally resign from gotoquiz is weird.
this sites weird as f--- man, and we're weird as f--- for continuing to post for our various reasons.
why is tongue 23 and just now leaving something he's been involved in for YEARS. since he was- 17? 18?- something like that..
and why do we keep posting here into our twenties?
It's a mindf--- to me. -
Are you guys serious?
-
Same here bob. I mostly forgot this place existed for about a month, really.
-
Feminism is ridiculous, but so is sexism.
-
*sighs* I forgot how full this website is of trolls and misinformed people, but then again I suppose I feel the same way whenever I go outside, to be honest.
Feminism is still relevant, not because we need to make both genders treated exactly the same, but because there are still countries where women are literally not recognized as people!! Feminism is not just a country-thing, and feminists who are only focusing on American, Canadian, English, whatever female's problems are missing the point.
When you look at the news or, hell, when you look at other countries' official laws, women are not just treated 'the same,' they're not treated as people.
If we forget the belief that women and men are equal, then women and men won't stay equal, it's as simple as that. We always need to keep believing that they're both people, they're both supposed to be treated as people, or else things will slide backwards. Feminism is defined as the belief that men and women are equal and should be given the same opportunities. Equal does not mean women are better, and equal does not mean the same.
I could go on about the advantages of feminism for men, and the remaining sexism even in America/Canada/England and other countries generally claimed to be 'now free of sexism and un-needing of feminism'.
But I strongly suspect that no one's going to care that much about my opinion, so what's even the point. I don't even care, except I try to believe that every little stand that I take in mundane ways will help eventually.
Just my five cents, thank you all very much. *bows* -
Wow

...Was that a good wow or a bad wow?
