tongue ExperiencedYou think Egypt was a revolution? Iran's next in line. But yes, it's very exciting that the people of the Middle East are embracing democracy. Democracy does not come from gunpoint indoctrination- it comes from the collective will of a nation's people.

I think it's great I just hope no new dicktaters seize this as an oppertunity to get in power. Like the Muslim brotherhood possibly. And I'm keeping Iran in my heart because the government does so many cruel things to anyone who makes waves. For Neda. I keep them all in my prayers.

tongue ExperiencedThe Muslim brotherhood actually is not a radical organization. It was at one time, but it isn't today. The American press has been labeling them as such because the word "muslim" is in their name. And honestly, it really annoys me how the press here hasn't given much support to the Egyptian people. Every time you saw something about it on CNN, they were talking about how Egypt is a vital ally, how the country would plunge into disorder without Mubarek, how radical Islam could hijack the revolution. The hypocrisy is just amazing: it's okay for the United States to depose Sadam in Iraq and force democracy on Iraq at gunpoint, but when a country actually wants democracy, we don't like it because we support their despotic ruler. The United States shouldn't be supporting any dictators in any circumstances.
