Brainless Newbiei guess what im wondering is it a safe place? on the news we hear that a man had his neck severed by the police and now there are rioting and burning buildings. is there problems with race and do you think if people will hate me for what i look like? i think that not all people in fact most people are not racist but im a little worried

I've always found this a good place so as long as you're careful around the people that are going to try to hurt you. I don't know if I really would feel safe in a place in the middle east. Apparently it's worse over there, women have less rights and men get to buy them(?) for marriage, it's incredibly hot, all of the terrorists that may be over there and ISIS. So I think a place like this or another high-tech, advanced country like Japan or England would be your best bet if you're trying to compare to the middle east. Idk.

Compared to other industrialized countries, yes, the United States is a dangerous country to live in. Just look at our violent crime rate compared with most of the countries in Europe.

I don't think of it as too dangerous. South American countries and African countries seem more dangerous to me. Not to mention the Middle Eastern countries.

That's actually a really good question brain, im glad you asked.
So the first thing is that yes America is statistically, reportedly, comparitively dangerous...... Which doesnt necceserily indicate anything actually. First of all, a lot of our crime isnt actually violent. And then again most convicted criminals come from localized areas, and finally, a very good portion of our perceived crime rates come from biased conclusions.
All in all, we it isn't as dangerous a place as it seems.
However there certainly is dangerous crime in certain areas. In my experience though, the danger to you is really dependant on whether or not you're willing to adhear to some really simple precautions. -
America like any other country is dangerous. I don't think there is a place in the world that isn't safe. Some may have lower crime rates but that doesn't exactly mean that country isn't dangerous.
