Yes, it is banned, but its already done its damage on the next few generations and continues to be practiced illegally.

Let's just wait and watch.
India was once a super power. Till every invader came and looted. We had the first university of the world, and now the nation's had a huge population of illiterates. Dowry and child marriage was banned by Asoka the Great. Idk how it still continues. Buddhism was born here. Now you won't find any Buddhist here. The first city (Mohinjudaro-Harrapa) had the best sewarge system and proper waste disposal system and now the government has to plead people to keep their surroundings clean. Don't know where it went wrong. :(
I'm a huge fan of our PM Modi and I know he can change India (if the citizens want)

Well it may please you to know that india IS a super power. India is ranked top ten on damn near every economic list you can find since 2013. With a robust economic climate, and rapidly evolving social schemes, India is a wealthy nation with investments, influences, and relations with other countries.
Its top notch buddy, so dont worry. India is just feeling the same global power changes that everyones feeling. -

I never said india wasnt a super power : p the current hegemony goes to the u.s.a. and yes it is declining, the next one will go to china. And that is almost certain.
But it doesnt mean india isnt a super power, and it doesnt mean india will never achieve hegemony again. -
The U.S. has got some pretty damn good achievements under it's belt *we were the first on the f---ing Moon for crapsake) but of course the country is falling apart. we're letting too many law inforcement people screw around all day, and there are too many bad cops. And all this other s--- the government is making law WE DON'T f---ING NEED THAT
THEY ARE ARGUING ABOUT PUTTING TAX ON SUGAR IN SODA LIKE WTF
We helped win WWI and WWII but now we can't even f---ing halfway deal with ISIS
