Thread Topic: A thought on climate change

Whether or not you believe in global warming, climate change ect. What's the harm in taking steps to protect our planet regardless? Its like saying that you should only start exercising and eating healthy once you're obese.
-
Personally I think global warming is total bs.
1:if sun flares or whatever happen which are warming the earth, there's not a goddamn thing we can do about it.
2: it's also called WEATHER I don't know if any of these people heard of it, but if they haven't it tends to change a lot.
3: Even if us as American's stop "polluting" the air or whatever, who says that other countries will agree with us? I've seen pollution in other places much worse than America. -
I agree with funniebunnie01

We are polluting the earth a whole damn lot and we can see the effects of it. Mercury poisoning in fish, soil erosion, air pollution ect. But the thread isn't about that. Its about the fact that we should be taking steps to reduce pollution regardless.
-
There's going to be pollution no matter what. the human race as a whole is now so pathetic that we rely on cars and everything that causes pollution. People aren't going to give that up so easy, and even if we limit it it's still going to build up over time anyways. And honestly I haven't noticed the effects of it at all on a personal level. The summer I had was actually ten degrees cooler than it has been in years. It may be different some other places, but if it's "Global Warming" it should be effecting places everywhere and I'm, on a personal level anyways, am not noticing it.
-
Maybe if you got out of your little bubble and saw how its affecting other countries ect. Its like saying hunger isn't a problem because you ate today.
-
Other countries are the ones bringing it on themselves. They pollute worse than we do, so that's probably why its effecting them more than us.
-
All these stupid solar panels and electric cars are all made in factories that pollute the air. So even if everybody had solar panels and electric cars we would still have a lot of pollution in the air.
-
As of 2013 the US was #2 in CO2 emitions behind China. Its immature to play the blame game when it comes to something that affects the entire world. It does effect the US a lot but you probably can't see it past your local suburb. I myself live a moderate distance to the Chesapeake bay and the water and climate are getting worse and affecting crabbing (very very important to the local culture and economy).
-
Solar and hibrid technologies are one time investments and produce much less pollution in the long run.
-
What do you suppose we do about it then? Just stop factories and everything?
-
Fallacies. Fallacies everywhere
-
Chernobyl,Ukraine is the most polluted place on Earth.A nuclear power plant exploded there. Its abandoned.
-
That's a whole different debate lol. As I stated TWICE now THREE times already. This thread isn't to argue whether its real or not. I was just saying what harm is there in protecting our earth from ourselves.

emmajamme2 Newbielmao sapphire is right my friends. the arguments youre making aren't factual, youre just angrily inserting your opinion over and over again
