Sure they could though maybe they'd sort of like not bring up politics at all or one of them would change or something.

tongue ExperiencedProbably not, just because those two ideologies are pretty extreme, depending on how radical the libertarian is. I think a better question is if a Communist and a Fascist could get married or not.

Politics aren't anywhere near everything, they could totally fall in love and try to make it work and crap.

Well they could totally be agreeing on other s---. Politics don't even matter that much to everyone just cause they are totally opposite of eachother doesn't mean they could never be together. They could be two lonely people who want someone else in their lives and they could fall in love and put aside that one difference that they have.

Ya I agree but I'm not saying that would be like their only reason I'm just saying that could be one of the reasons they put the effort into keeping the relationship together and trying to put aside that one thing they view differently.

tongue ExperiencedI'm not so sure they could put it aside though. Both ideologies are pretty unconvential and require alot of commitment and passion, probably too much for someone who marks themselves a Communist or a Libertarian to have a life partner who so passionately believes in something so different. That's not to say two people have to have the same veiws to have a happy marraige- I could see a Liberal and a Communist together, or a Libertarian and Liberal, or Libertarian and Conservative.
