Demonjoe NoviceRead a Reuters article today that I saw on the headline for the Drudge Report saying that the U.S. has posted a $82.69 in April, nearly 4 times from the $20.91 in April 2009.

This is one of the things that bothers me most in politics. We don't need them spending our money for us, it's better if citizens keep they're money then they can pay for things like health care and their needs.
Plus, where are they going to get the money to pay off debt? Either cut spending (which is what they should be doing) or raise taxes (which is wrong because it's not their money). Seriously, the federal government's power is going waaay to far these days. -
Demonjoe NoviceThey need to cut spending, cut taxes after we have paid off some of the debt.

i have no idea what ur talkign about

tongue NewbieI think more than anything this has to do with the fact that alot of people are on public assistance right now because of how bad the economy is and especially because unemployment is so bad. People need that kind of help right now though, so I don't see this as a problem.

Demonjoe NoviceWhen the deficit increases this at fast it will probably come back to bite our country in the ass later with something like tax increases or something.
-
tongue NewbieNo, it would bite us in the ass with programs getting cut. I'd love it if the deficit finally forced us to address our ridiculous military spending($800 billion a year), but I don't see that happening. But the government isn't going to raise taxes because of how deadset Republicans are against a tax increase. I'd love to see an increase in taxes for the highest 10 percent, but the consrevatives will misrepresent it and get a movement against tax increases for their rich friends. And you know Fox News, which has conservative America by the balls, will successfully rally their audience against it.
