Demonjoe NoviceI'm sure just about everyone has probably heard about how BP screwed up and spilled oil and now thousands of gallons of oil a day are being spilt into the Gulf of Mexico. The oil has now reached the coast of Lousiana and if it reaches Florida's streams it will screw Florida's economy by closing many businesses like fishing businesses and killing tourism, which is a vital source of income for Florida. If this gets into Florida's stream then I think Florida's governor, Charlie Crist, should sue BP.

I agree, plus how has this oil spill affected the environment in the ocean? I mean I've seen some sad things where animals are covered in oil. That must have damaged things in the ocean too.
-
Demonjoe NoviceIt's been killing fishes and whatever else lives in the Gulf of Mexico.

nuu not da fishys!!

First off, those clumsy twits need to stop spilling their oil all up in our water.
Second...is there a second? WE'LL HAVE TO SEE. -
tongue NewbieThis is why we shouldn't be drilling offshore and should be reducing our dependency on oil. Sadly a majority of Americans still favor offshore drilling. That's beyond sad, the fact that our nation as a whole cares so much about filling their tanks and so little about the very planet we inhabit. The Earth does not exist for humanity to simply be destroyed to get what is inside of it.

Yeah I heard about that on the news in Korea, that was such a waste, especially when oil is getting harder to find, but it wasn't particularly anyone's fault.

f--- those stupid oil drilling fags! suuuuure we have the tech to drill so u go ahead and drill for the freakin oil. yeah yeah NOTHINGS gonna happen thats SOOOOO realistic!!!! and of course we dont have the tech to stop it... all the innocent little marine life... theyre gonna put a dome on it but get this: theres gonna be a hole at the top. so instead of the oil bursting out in all direction its jetting in one. how great... thats not slowing it down! the oil will eventually spread out anyway... and once we pollute water it doesnt go away until we manually clean it up... instead of drilling for more oil shouldnt we be looking for an alternative fuel? the oil is not going to last for long...

Yeah, I heard an interview of a guy saying he saw a poor whale having difficulty breathing. *Sob* WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! THOSE POOR POOR CREATURES!!!! THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO DESERVE THAT!!!!!!
Geez, WTF is wrong with me. -
Demonjoe NoviceI'm sad about the fishes too. I'm actually more concerned however with the economic inpact of this. This may drive up gas prices. This will also potentially destroy Florida's economy and set the whole economy back 5 years.
-
tongue NewbieThis is very true, and almost karmic in a way. Like I said, people still support offshore drilling because they don't want high gas prices, but disasters like this happen with offshore drilling, and they raise gas prices. This is going to be a big hit to fishermen in Louisiana, whose livelihood is a meager one in the first place.
President Obama needs to announce that he was wrong and that he is reinstituting the ban on offshore drilling. He'll lose more support than he'll gain if he goes through with lifting the ban. -
what goes around comes around

That's Karma, baby.
And Karma's a b----.
90210! -
They keep saying "we'll get this mostly cleaned up by next week."
DO THEY KNOW HOW MUCH DAMAGE COULD BE DONE BY THEN?! -
Asses.
Oh, and go BAMBI!
