Cuz they're black. At least that's what happened in Florida where the black woman went to jail for Standing Her Ground but the white guy who killed Trayvon Martin got off.

The person may not be able to prove that they acted in self-defence, hence may be charged for unnecessary violence.

Also, the victim may have acted in an irresponsible manner and acted far too harshly and displayed the utmost brutality. Not all victims are victims.
For instance, video recordings may not have captured the incident or/and witnesses may not be available or may not be willing to speak out.
A little though provoker: If a burglar entered a house with no visible weapons, would it be reasonable to shoot; causing probable death? Who is really the victim? -
Tongue, from what I've seen blacks and women can also pull crap outta the bag and get off for huge sentences

If someone's in your house and your life is at risk I don't think race, ethnicity, sex, or who it is matters, you should have the right to protect yourself.
