I'm against animal cruelty but it's VERY VERY hypocritcal if you eat meat and are like: animal cruelty sucks! because if you knew where your meat came from you'd know you were just as bad as them.

tongue NewbieI don't feel it's hypocritical to have an issue with animal cruelty and still eat meat. I do know where my meat comes from, and it bugs me where it comes from, but I'm not going to not eat meat because of that. I might eat more organic meat though. But I don't think it's wrong to eat meat- it's a natural part of nature for animals to eat other animals, and the animals we eat are bred to be eaten by humans and really don't exist for any other reason.

Yes but by eating meat you ARE causing the animal cruelty to rise so substansially that you could almost (almost) put it into a positive correlation.
However, eating meat does ensure that rare breeds of lifestock (which are tasty) are going to go on for many more years to come because of their meat.
I eat meat, I know where it comes from and it sucks. It really does. You need it when you're growing up, though, to get all the protein and everything so becoming vegetarian (certainly not vegan) is a really risky option and has to be done very precisley. -
tongue NewbieThere isn't any correlation between eating meat and animal cruelty, aside from the fact that a vegetarian or vegan would never harm an animal.
