Beth skipped after them, holding a pale yellow pillowcase for her candy.

After getting some candy (and a couple suspicious looks from the owners) Clara walked with Jayce and Beth. They started walking past where the mysterious man was...
(THIS IS GETTING GOOD!!) -
Jayce suddenly stopped. Something wasn't right; He could feel it. He looked around, but no one was ther but Beth and Clara, the lit houses and lamps, a few other Trick-or-Treaters.
The man smirked. A few more steps closer, and he could get the brats.... -

Suddenly Beth heard a twig break. She gasped, and clenched Clara's arm. She stopped, dead silent.

Clara stopped and turned around to face Jayce.
"What's up buddy?" -
Jayce suddenly pushed Beth and Clara out of the way as a figure lept out of the bush, throwing Jayce to the ground. Jayce muttered a few curse words, tackling the man.
Dylan was hit by Jayce once again, getting forced to the floor. -
Clara ran and tackled the man.
"GET OFF OF HIM!!" -
"NO!" Beth sped back over to the two, knowing that she had to do something. She looked at him...more scared than ever.

Beth knew she had to contribute somehow. She stepped on the mans chest, while he struggled to get up.
"Stay away from us." She said with a stern face. -
Dylan scrambled up, only to be tackled by Clara. He growled, pulling out a knife, trying to slash at her with it.
Jayce was bleeding; He had gotten a cut on his face. He looked at Beth. -
Clara took three of her fingers and made little flames from each of them. She touched the man's skin, then set fire to his hair.

Dylan screeched out, his mask burning him a lot more than the power of Clara. He dissapered, leaving the three kids alone.
Jayce fell backwords, beginning to lose a lot more blood than he had planned to. -
Beth ran over to Jayce, motherly instincts kicking in.
"Jayce? If you can hear me, blink your eyes twice." Beth waited desperately for Jayce to react. -
"You OK?"
Clara put her hand on Jayce's shoulder. She put out her other hand to help him up.
