I slowly take Michael's hand. He looked like he was about to jump down and give my dad a real beat- down.

I look at her and grip her hand. I sit back down on the branch.

I look back at him and hold his hand tighter. I felt safe.

I feel her hold my hand tighter. I instantly calm myself.

I notice that he calms down a little. I smile a little.

I smile back at her.

My dad gets up and gets out his keys. He walks a little wobbly-like and leaves the park.

I watch him leave.

I sigh when I see the truck drive away.

"Phew." I whisper. "He's gone."

"Yeah." I say in barely a voice.

I get up. "Alright, let's get out of this tree." I say, holding a hand to her.

"Ok. Brace yourself." I say as I jump out of the tree.

I jump out of the tree as well.

I land on my feet. I stand there and stare at the ground and think.
