He watched in interest, wondering what his sister would possibly want to call for. Must be an emergency.

"I've missed you so much, Natalia." She responded quickly and his face went deathly pale. "What? No. No, how could this happen." She gave a quick apology and I love you then hung up. Ivan closed the phone and fell back onto the bed.

"I-Ivan..?" he whispered, worriedly.

Ivan covered his face with his hands as tears started to trickle out. He hadn't cried forever.

Giovanni went to hug him, shyly and confused. He pat his back gently, wanting so much to know what was wrong.

"My Mother and father... They're gone..."

"I'm so sorry, Ivan," Giovanni gasped, hugging him even more tightly.

"And my brother... He's in an a coma... But Natalia barely told me anything. All I know is that there was a very horrible car accident..."

"Ivan.. i'm so sorry.. I.." he tried to say something smart, but he couldn't come up with anything. He just felt so horrible.

Ivan just shook his head and held Gio tightly, sobbing into his shoulder.

He put his hand to Ivan's head and held him securely, trying not to cry with him. "I-Ivan.. I can t-take you to the h-hospital.."

"No, you can't. They're in Russia... I'm the only one in the family that came to America."

"I can.. I can figure out a way.. I can.."

"What about your classes?" Ivan asked, his face still buried in Giovanni's shoulder.

"I.. I don't care about them.." he said bitterly.
