He purred in his sleep happily, feeling and knowing that he was safe.

Ivan smiled happily and just laid there, staring at the ceiling, his only thoughts about Giovanni.

In his sleep, at one point, he saw flashes of red. It caused him heat and discomfort, which made him shift a bit. During that time he clung to Ivan tightly.

Ivan was a bit concerned when that happened, fearing that Giovanni might be having a nightmare, but he didn't want to ruin his sleep, so he left him be, just laying with him.

The flashes of red.. blood.. so much blood.. His entire body burnt and he felt a choked feeling coming to his throat, cutting off his breathing in the dream.. but not in real life.

Ivan was still really worried and he stared down at Giovanni.

It reached his knees, the blood, and for that split second he thrashed around. He was almost burning, sweating like crazy because of his heat.
To say that it was unusual for the nightmares to come, though, was a lie. -
Ivan couldn't take this. He started to shake Giovanni, hoping to wake him up.

Shaking, almost like an earthquake. It was enough to wake him up, and he stared at Ivan, alarmed. He eyes were full of tears and his entire body burned.

Ivan hugged him close. "Are you alright, Giovanni?" he asked, worriedly.

He began to cried once he was hugged. "So much blood.." he whimpered. "So much.."

Ivan petted his hair and rubbed his back. "Well, it was just a nightmare. You're safe now. I'll protect you, no matter the cost."

He trembled and nodded, blubbering too much to a actually give a legit response.

Ivan brought Gio's face to his and kissed him softly. "I wish I could protect you in your dreams.." Ivan said.
