Ivan reached over and pulled Giovanni into his arms. "I'm so sorry I couldn't stop all this before it happened."

He shook in his arms and told him again that it was okay. "A-At l-l-least I'm g-g-good..."

Ivan rubbed Giovanni's back. "We should start heading to the airport.." he said softly.

Giovanni could barely nod. He just continued to sob.

Ivan continued to hold and started the car. He started to wonder who would be the first one to find Martin's body. But then he pushed the issue out of his mind like he always did. He had one arm around Giovanni and drove with the other.

The younger man looked miserably ahead and didn't think much. He just knew that he had to suck it up once they were in a public place again.

"Now you've seen how much of a monster I can be.." Ivan said quietly.

Gio couldn't even mustard up the courage or strength to reply back. But if he could, he would have reassured Ivan and told him that it was the right thing to do.

Ivan felt horrible about doing that with Giovanni close by. He felt so horrible.

He wiped off his own tears and his runny nose, trying to get rid of the heavy feeling that loomed over him.

He was amazed that Giovanni was even letting him touch him. He was afraid that Giovanni would be too scared of him.

He sniffled and looked up at Ivan, his eyes red and still full of tears. "I-Ivan.. I.. l-love you.."

Ivan pulled off into the parking lot of a nearby gas station and hugged Giovanni tightly to him. "I love you as well. So much."

He gripped Ivan tightly and only nodded to him, beginning to weep again.

Ivan rubbed Giovanni's back again, and pulled out of the parking lot and started towards the airport again.
