Maria laughed a little at that. "That's my Valentino. He prefers doing nothing to doing something. That's fine. You shouldn't be forced to stay with him all day in there, anyway."

Tray nodded. "Yeah. I got money and everything."

"You wouldn't need it, anyway. I'm okay with paying for whatever."

Tray smiled. "That's really nice of you." he said.

"Of course. Anything for such a kind boy like you."

Tray blushed a bit. "So, shall we go?" he asked.

"Yes," she said, getting her purse from behind the kitchen chair.

"Umm, do you want to drive?" he asked. Tray could drive, but he didn't like to. He felt he got distracted too quickly and easily to drive safely on the road.

"Of course, I'm more comfortable knowing I'm behind the wheel," she chuckled.

"That's good." Tray said. "I hate driving."

"You know how to drive?" she asked curiously as they headed out.

"Yeah. I took the driving tests and got a license when I was sixteen, but I get distracted easily, and I don't want to die, so I don't usually drive."

"That's nice. My Valentino hasn't even bothered to go out and get a licence yet."

"Hunh, wow. I just got my license because everybody else had one, and I had just recently 'come out of the closet' and so I was just trying to fit in, ya know?"

She smiled at him. "It's good to be yourself, though. It was a brave thing alone to have come out of the closet."
