If Hannah could have met your mom, all hell would have broken loose, Tori. Hannah's number one passion was dance, and she thoroughly encouraged everyone to conquer their dreams and leap for the stars. Your mother is irrational, blind, and wrong. Seize the day, like Hannah did. Pursue your dreams, whether they be in dance or any other field. Hannah never spent a minute listening to others; she just surrounded herself with people and things she loved. She never stopped dancing, whether it be on toe, or lyrical, or even hip hop. She saw dancing as 'an opportunity to escape' and seized that very opportunity. On top of her passions, she put herself out 11o% for others, while still dealing with her own issues. Hannah was a ballerina, a passionate one. She didn't leave behind a bunch of memories for me, but a legacy, one that will never be forgotten.
Take Hannah's story as an example. Life is short, and the windows of opportunity close quickly. Take what you have and use it while you can. Make the most of nothing, and the best of everything. People like you inspired Hannah, and had she still been here, she would have said the following.
"To dance is to be outside of yourself. More beautiful, more powerful. Dance isn't a form, it's a way of life. Don't take other people's crap, because that's just what it is. Pure and utter nonsense. It means nothing. All that matters is you and your dancing shoes." -
Hannah sounds like a wonderful girl, an inspiration. Even though I never knew her, it makes me sad lovely people like her must leave us. I wish I could be with you, her and all her other close ones at her funeral. I'll be thinking of both of you, on that day.
