Shiloh slept as well, his sleep mainly dreamless. Just a soft peace in his heart.

Connor slept good until he woke up suddenly in the middle of the night. His side was aggravating. He grit his teeth together. He tried to distract himself from the pain, looking around the room. Everything seemed in order, except for a suspicious looking darkness in the corners of the room. The shadows seemed to be whispering to him, but he couldn't understand them. He tried to put it out of his mind and kissed Shiloh's cheek softly.

Shiloh stirred a bit, cuddling closer to Connor. He didn't notice anything out of the ordinary really since he was half asleep. -
Connor tried to go back to sleep, but that wasn't happening. The more time went by, the more shadows were there, and the more pain in his side.

After a little bit longer Shiloh began to feel like something wasn't right, like he could sense it. He started to wake up, turning to look at Connor. "Hey babe, are you okay?"

Connor looked at Shiloh, slightly relieved he had woken up. Connor shook his head. "Not really." his fists were clenched to try and stop the pain. It clearly wasn't working. -

Shiloh looked at him worriedly, kissing his cheek softly. "I'm sorry, love." He thought for a moment. "We don't have much in my time to deal with pain, except some scotch..." -
Connor chuckled, but there was no humor in it. "I'd take anything to make this pain stop."

He nodded. "Of course." Getting up he went to a cabinet in the room and pulled out a bottle of the drink. "I only use it for pain as well, so it's mainly full." He went back quickly to him, handing it to him. "I hope it helps, I hate to see you hurting."

Connor took the bottle and painfully sat up. He then proceeded to chug about half of the bottle, holding the liquor quite well.

Shiloh sat on the bed with him, making sure not to go near his pained side.

It took a while for his side to start feeling numb but it eventually did, and Connor drank more of the scotch. He was probably becoming incredibly drunk right now.

Shiloh couldn't help but chuckle. He hadn't meant for the other to get drunk, though it was one of the 'side-effects' of the at home remedy.

As Connor finished the bottle, he wondered allowed, "Where do purple kangaroos come from?"
