(I had an idea~)
So these normal everyday kids in this town have a secret. A select few turn into animals at night.
During the day, however, they seem normal enough. Some have odd tendencies, like the cat kids seem to sleep alot.
Also, no one even knows there are others out there like them.
Close by to the town is a thick forest with a lake in the center and a path that leads to a mountain.
