Looks like I won't be eating for awhile. I thought to myself. Between Nik, the baby, and Madison, there wasn't going to be enough food. Even with the store down the street.

"You want some more food, sweetheart?" I rubbed her arm, trying to be comforting.

"Please." Madison asked. She was just as tall as Nik with green eyes and dirty blonde hair. I threw her the bag of gummy bears.

I smiled at Madison as she ate. Even though she was probably as old as me, I still felt a motherly urge to protect her.

I paced around the room. Before the appocolypse, my therapist said I had a form of xenophhobia, the fear or dislike of strangers. Madison was definatley making me uncomfortable.

I got distracted by Dylan. I walked over to him. "What's wrong, honey?"

"Nothing, babe." My bow was still strapped on my shoulder.

"You know you can tell me anything that's bothering you. I won't get worried, unless it's necessary." I quickly kissed his lips.

"So where are you guys from?" Madison interupted.

"Well, I've lied in Creekston my whole life. That's the next town over. Dylan came from..." I looked over at him, remembering I had no idea where he lived or was born.

"Gatlin.." I finished Niks sentance. We hadn't really talked about our pasts before. I directed the question baack to Madison. "Where are you from?"

I peeled my eyes off of Dylan and looked back at Madison. I was curious as to where she lived as well.

"Uh...Charolette." She answered, eating the gummi bears' heads.
