"No, you don't. It's not your fault. I'm not surprised this happened and you shouldn't either." I looked into his eyes, trying to get him to calm down.

I just looked at Nik, my beautiful Nik, who was carrying my child.
"Okay." I said after a minute. I put my hand on her stomach. "Okay." -
I smiled at him and hugged him. He was the one who would be with me the whole time, the one who loved me.

I was still in shock but on my way to accepting what was happening.

"C'mon, let's go to bed." I grabbed his hand and walked to the bedroom we had made love in.

I stopped at the doorway to the room.
" I'll go get the supplies." I went back to the other room. -
I looked at him. "I'll let you go as long as you promise you won't touch that knife."

"You have it." I reminded her. I picked up the bags and walked back to Nik, locking the door behind me.

I climbed into bed. "C'mon, honey. Time for bed."

"I feel like I just aged about ten years." I laughed. "We're too young for this."

"You're right. We are too young to be fighting for our lives in the middle of an apocalypse." I patted the space next to me.

I crawled to her, kissing her stomach.
"For the kid thing too." -
I sighed. "Yeah." I pulled him to me and kissed him softly. "I love you, though, and I'm not too young to be sure on that."

"I love you too." I kissed her neck." I have a question. What's your full name?"

"Nikol Brooke Hallaway. What's yours?"
