I noticed that messa seemed to be about to cry, I tried to comfort her, but I didn't know why she was so sad, I suddenly realized something, she mostly liked water, but I breathed fire, I tried to ignore that though -

Messa bit her lip, trying not to cry. Soon she broke down, putting her face in her hands. -
I hugged her and hoped she would feel better, I felt so bad, but I didn't know what to do

Messa didn't do anything, just continued to cry.

I wanted to do something to make her happier, it made me really sad when I saw her cry

Messa put her face out of her hands, and hugged Richard tightly. Now he'd never know her feelings.
