I forgot amidst Kitty's demand for me to soap and my studying.
I glanced up at him. "You skipped four grades? Wow, you must be really smart." -
XD its okay.
"I don't remember the end of middle school either." I frowned. -
"Hm," I shrugged. "Maybe it wasn't worth remembering?" I paused, recalling my past. "I moved to America in 9th grade. The schools were brutal back home. I bet they still are."

All of a sudden something clicked in my brain. I repeated a couple of things word for word that had been in middle school chemistry and math books. Then came English, and science- and in the middle of me repeating I looked up. "Where are you from?" -
"I'm from China. I grew up in Hong Kong." My jet black hair flaps around in the light breeze.

"I'm from...." I thought for a second. "I'm from France, but I grew up in America."

"Ooh, that's neat! Do you speak any French?" I smiled.

"No. No I don't. I speak American and Latin."
AW HE'S SO ADORABLE "I speak American" -
I giggled. "I think I speak American too. I'm fluent in Mandarin Chinese and I know English as well." I paused, translating what I wanted to say into English. Though I spoke in it most of the time, I still thought in Mandarin, my first language. "It's kind of difficult to translate what I want to say though.. It would be easy if I could speak in my native tongue more often."
