Sabola waited outside the bar for her father, Keneth, to come out. Patientce was hard for her, so she decided to go to the store across the street.

While looking over the books she heard her father yell out her name. Crap Sabola ran over to the bar where her drunk father waited with his friends. "What did I tell you about leaving this spot?" he asked her. "That when we got home you would use the bat." Sabola answered grimly.

When Sabola and her father returned to the house he got the bat out of the basement. Keneth started to beat her with it, but Sabola didn't shed a tear. When he was finished she went to her room and got out the first aid kit.

After Sabola dressed her large leg wound and took care of her black eye she went downstaires to where she keeps her krutches.
