Sten glanced back down at his work and continued

The sudden thought had banged through his mind.
Valerie.. dead.. he thought helplessly to himself.
In no time, he found himself resurfacing and gasping for air. -
Sten snapped to attention at the sudden sound.

"Control yourself.. control yourself.." he urged himself, holding his chest as it heaved up and down heavily.

Sten stood up and watched.

Cooler had looked for where he lat wa, and realized that he wasn't too far from land.
He didn't care, he just wanted to breathe. -
Sten kept watching. He wanted to make sure the young man made it to safety.

He swam back to land with difficulty, coughed up some one the water he had began to gag on, and just laid there, gasping for breath. -
Sten watched for a minute before sitting back down.

"Oh my gosh.. never doing that AGAIN," he grumbled to himself, red eyes dull.

Sten finished making his sword. It was still a little dull and needed some more details but it was basically done.

He looked over to one side, and kept grumbling.
"Those idiots DITCHED me.. Why am I even friends wth them?" -
Sten whiped his blade in the water and gave it a couple practice swings.

Cooler noticed the same dude from before swinging his sword a couple of times and thought Jeez, that's a pretty cool sword. Better than the one I was given a decade ago.

Sten put it away and went home.
