  then she grabbed her own face and tore her skin away. nox stepped out of the hollow shell. the sack of skin reformed itself into the changeling.
  
  "do you think she was hiding?" asked the changeling.
  
  "no, she knows those caves. she must have ran away."
  
  the two of them reached the bottom of the mountain and stepped out of the fire.
