:) Thanks!
Name: Dustin
Age: 16
Other: His father is the head of an investigation on the recent murders in the area. -
Yeah, I was finding a good picture for my charrie.
-
Yay you are. So..I'll start.
It happened like any other day. Nina walked in to see him sitting in his study, reading another of the books their dad had left years ago.
She sighed, dropping off her stuff and grabbing her other bag, to go out to the cafe for some time alone. Not that she needed time alone, it was just that her brother had a way of suffocating her with questions when he noticed her.
She snuck out, heading down the street. Like every other day. -
Dustin sat on the front step, his iPod playing music loudly into his ears. He nonchalantly hummed along, his mind wandering wherever it wanted to. He couldn't help but wonder about the recent murders. His father had been assigned to the case. He admired him for his bravery, but still had worries for his safety. He stood up, deciding to go for a walk. He needed to clear his head. Flooding it with the neighborhood scenery would be just as good a way as any.
-
Everything was normal except for it.
Nina saw it everywhere. A human eye wouldn't detect it, but the whole town reaked of the creature.
Nina wasn't sure exactly what it was, but it definatly was a threat to the town. Unlike her brother, she cared about humans.
She walked down the street, almost to the cafe. -
Dustin strolled down the street, his head bobbing slightly to the beat of his music. As he made his way towards the cafe, he bumped into someone. He took his earbuds out. "Oh, sorry."
-
Nina turned, zoning out of her daze. She blinked, then registered that someone had bumped into her "Oh, it's okay." She said quickly. She found it hard talking to anyone other than her brother anymore.
-
"Are you sure?" He slipped his iPod into his jean pocket.
-
"Yeah, heh, no biggie." She said. Before he could say anything else she walked past him quickly, going into the cafe.
As she went in she realized she'd been holding her breath. She quickly let it out, sitting down at a table toward the back.
"Goddammit" Erinn muttered, sighing in defeat. Three nights awake and the books all said the same.
"Is there nothing else I can do..?" -
Dustin stood outside. After a few minutes he walked inside and sat up at the counter.
-
Erinn blinked, his sister had been home.
"I guess I deserved that"He said, glumly, hiding his face in his hands. "I failed mother...I failed father...why not my sister too?"He whispered.
Nina pulled out a book. She had stolen it from her brother, along with some of his notes, while he had been asleep.
Looking at them, she nearly fell over with shock.
"He couldn't....he knows what happens when you mess with the dead..."She whispered, flipping through the book.
Soon she was consumed in the golden brown book, it's yellow pages crinkling as she turned each of the aging pages.
She zoned out again, and her eyes locked on a certain page.
"She was his creation..?"She whispered to herself, then went to his notes.
