"Yes. We do," I replied.
Cole
I pulled up the driveway and let myself in the front door. I placed the food on the kitchen table. "Please set this up, thanks. I'll go get Rebekah." I climbed the stairs and rapped lightly on her door. "Rebekah?" I called quietly. -
(Its okay. I is impatient. I'm scolding my self xP)
Rebekah
I hid the drawing behind my back. "Uhh... Yeah?" I said nervously.
Carlsile
I wrinkled my nose. "I haven't done that in 50 years." -
(Don't scold. :3 It's fine.)
Destiny
I set to work plating out the food. It smelled odd. I couldn't help but smile at Carlisle's remark. "Hmm. I won't even tell you the last time I ate something. You'd think of me as ancient."
Cole
"Dinner's almost ready," I peered into her room. "Looks like you've settled in quite easily," I smiled. -
Rebekah
"Oh really? Dang it feels like its been only 30 minutes... uh... I want you to have this." I handed him the drawing. "Its... not the best, but I tried... " I gave a half smile.
Carlsile
"Dang... Maybe you are my grandma, instead of my mother." -
Cole
My eyes intantly lit up when I say the drawing. "Wow, that's amazing... Is that me?" I glanced up at Rebekah. Her cheeks were flushed a light pink.
Destiny
I swatted him playfully. "Watch it, I could punish you with the task of washing my dentures, sonny," I said, pretending to be an old lady. -
Rebekah
"Uhh... y-yeahh.... I've b-been drawing for a c-couple years... now..." I said, staring at the ground, blushing.
Carlisle
"Could you keep the noise down? My feet hurt!" I said, pretending to be an old man. My mom was one of the 'cool' moms, as my friend Bethany said. -
Cole
I nodded. "Very impressive. I'm sure you could easily make a living off of your art. It's utterly fascinating..." I paused, examining the drawing more closely. "But I do believe you've exaggerated my appearance a bit. It's very flattering. But... Do I really look this, well, perfect?" I tried to meet her eyes.
Destiny
I laughed. "Oh, just let me grab some ointment and I'll give you a relaxing foot massage, dear," I bent down, stopping midway. "Oh! My back!" -
Rebekah
"You are. Your amazing. Your beautiful." I whispered very silently, hoping he couldn't hear me. "Ehhh.... yeasshh.." I said, blushing more.
Carlisle
I laughed. "Let me help you there, dahling!" I pretended to fall. "Oh! I've fallen and I can't get up!" -
Cole
I grinned sheepishly. If I had a beating heart, I'm sure I would have been blushing at this point. "I... Well... Thank you..."
Destiny
I howled with laughter. "Looks like we should've ordered that LifeAlert. A bit too late, I suppose... If only... If only I could remember what phone number to call...?" I placed a finger to my lips, gazing at the ceiling. "Is it 411? 922? 215? Oh, darn it! Get me the phone book!" -
Rebekah
"I...." My heart went crazy. "Y-Your..." I blushed even more. "W-welcome."
Carlisle
"I can't get the phone book! I'VE FALLEN AND I CAN'T GET UP!" I laughed. -
Cole
I reached out and took her hand in mine. "Come on, then. We should head to dinner."
Destiny
"Oh... My... Gosh..." I slumped to the ground, shaking with laughter. "If only we had taped that, Carlisle... We would make MILLIONS." -
Rebekah
My stomach had butterflies. My heart raced. "Uh..." and I fainted.
Carlisle
"If only they still had America's Funniest home Videos!" I said, holding my stomach. -
Cole
My eyes widened in shock. I caught her, using my speed to do so. "Mom, I'm afraid Rebekah will be late to dinner!" I called, carrying her over to her bed. After laying her down gently, I sat beside her. I cupped one hand around her cheek, stroking it with my thumb. I quietly sang a song I'd been taught a long time ago.
"I'm sure your time away has been memorable and grand,
But I'm sure you've had enough of that land.
Oh, please return into my open arms,
Oh, please come back to me... Please." I couldn't quite place where I had learned it; I was assuming sometime during my regular human life.
Destiny
"Ha, now THAT would be a way to make some fast cash!" I stood up as I heard Cole call. "Alright. We'll be waiting," I called back. -
Rebekah
I woke up to a cold object on my face. "Uh... Hi?" I said, blushing. "W-What happened?"
Carlisle
I groaned. "I don't want to eat crap." -
Cole
I pulled my hand away, sitting back. "Hi. You fainted. Are you alright? You had me worried."
Destiny
I smiled sadly. "Me either. At least we have a few extra minutes to spare before having to shovel tasteless junk down our throats."
