I really don't know tbh sometimes talking to a kid just don't work and some kids really do just need a slap. But say your child had hit you or someone else in your family. How would you respond??

well im not of the age to have a kid yet...BUT i would put them in their room for a time out...but i would never EVER lay one hand on my child! thats child abuse if you slap or hit him/her

eh....take the time out....i'd talk to them...then if they dont listen then its time out

Try talking to them and if that doesn't work time out and/or take away a privilege. I don't hit kids.

I would mostly talk to them, i wouldn't hit nor shout at them unless they do something really bad, but seriously, hitting doesn't help, they will just get scared of me and respect me because they scared, and i don't want that. So i would mostly talk to them...

Light slap to the hand and a lecture. A calm and nice lecture that won't scar my child for life.

I'd probably just scream "f--- OFF" or something. XD
But itf I were a responsible, not myself parent, I'd do the same as Ana. -
Generally what Carri said, but mention all of the ways life bites in that situation.
