So I'm watching random stuff on Youtube and I started thinking about Disneyland.
I still remember when I first met my dad. I was four. When I was four, I think that was the last year Fernando was still okay.. Well, anyway, when we first met, we were residing here in America for a while.. So he took us to Disney Land.
It must have cost him a lot. There were 6 of us, mom, dad, Fernando, Kevin, Mary, and myself. The tickets cost around 60 dollars each for children (Remember, I was pretty much the only 'child'. Mary was 14 and I think Fernando and Kevin were.. 18/17ish?) and 70 for adults. Plus the money for food and other random stuff.
I remember how I was pretty damn tall, so I was able to go on just about any ride because I was tall enough.. And you know, we had fun. My older brothers were laughing and bickering over small things, Mary was smiling and humming the whole time, Mom and Dad were still happy around each other.. And I had my family.
And when we went on the cups, I got so dizzy because Fernando and Kevin didn't want to slow down the wheel, so the second I got off the cup, I was just gasping for breath and I fell on the floor. Despite how sick my lungs were because of my conditions when I was born, I say it was very fun. As long as everyone was happy and I wasn't hurt.
So we did more stuff which I can't remember, and you know the Small World with all the countries? We went on that. I was just staring at all the dolls because I really couldn't understand their traditions and way of life, but I remember thinking that the geisha dolls were just adorable. And so they had this large section for the country of Mexico, I was so happy and I kept squealing "I was born there! Mommy, Daddy, wasn't I born there? It's Mexico! Look, look at the mariachi and the dolls!" When I was little, we came to America here and there because we have family here. So that time was always the worst. But just seeing the little Mexico display made me feel so much better.
And you could hear Mary, Kevin, and Fernando laughing with happiness when we got to USA. They were born here in the United States, if I haven't mentioned. They just were pointing and laughing because they were just so happy..
And so in the end, we went to watch a show and shiz.. I remember Dad saying "You know, we might be able to come here again next year.." And everyone got all excited.
It never really did happened. Next year was the time Fernando went to the army and was killed. So my family was really crushed after that. We weren't in the spirit for traveling..
Then once the wounds began to painfully heal, we planned again. That year, we didn't have money because we had to pay for many things. The next year was when Kevin was killed.
And you know, I've started thinking about how if we could get one more day together, all of us.. We would all say we would spend that day in Disneyland. -
I am sooo sorry for your losses Vege. :( Everytime I think my life is tough, I hear something really sad and remember, these people have it way worse.
