Elise trailed along not saying anything.

I slowed down so I walked alongside Elise.

Elise still didn't want to break the silence, but she wasn't ashamed of what she did. It is who I am... she thought to herself.

The walk there was boring. It's so... quiet.

Elise fely uncomfortable with the awkward silence, so she came up with a plan to end it. "SO...How about that airplane food?" Elise prayed it worked.

"Never eat food on airplanes. The Society was always afraid of poison."

"Oh..." Elise just shut her mouth the rest of the walk and hung her head in failure.

Why would she even ask that? I wondered. Finally, we reached the building. "We're... here." Chase yawned and fell over.

"Chase!" The first word Elise dared to say. She rushed to catch him.

"I'm awake! I'm awake!" Chase shouted, standing up.

Knowing that Chase was back on his feet, Elise went back to being speechless.

"Well... Chase... now that you're awake... are you ready to go get Lucy?"

Elise did nothing important.

Chase nodded. -

"Do you guys think we'll be ok?" Elise said.
