"Chicken..." Elise tried to use reverse physcology on him, hoping it would work.

"I'm not a chicken!" Chase shouted.

"Then prove it." I gestured toward Jordan.

"Well, Chase?" I stared at him.
"No! Besides, shouldn't we be saving Lucy?" Chase frowned. -
"We will Chase, but you being a vampire, we'd be able to move quicker."

"No."
I smiled a bit. -
"Why not?"

"I don't care if Jordan's one, or if you're one, or if Lucy's one. Vampires are monsters."

Elise got a little irritated with Chase by now. "Do I look like a monster to you? It's just like saying all Slayers are ruthless, heartless, cold-blooded kilers." -
(Ta-da.)

"Guys, let's not fight..." I interrupted Chase's retort. And then I was interrupted. By a Slayer.
"Most of us are. Including Jordan." He stepped out from the shadows, grinning. -
Elise turned and saw the Slayer. She paniced a little, she'd never fought anyone before, let alone a Slayer.

"I'm sorry. I don't know your name. If you were of any significance, I probably would. Also, if you were of any significance, we'd have a harder time killing you." I stepped toward the Slayer, who was about a foot taller than me. And at least four years older.

"I-I'm Elise." Elise tried to play it cool, but probably gave it away a little by stuttering.
