well the Mayas are the best because of their amazing math skills which caused their calendars to be so correct and their ancient pottery is incredible.
Why the Mayas are better than the Aztecs:
the Aztecs are a lot crueler they tore out their prisoners hearts out will they were still alive and the heart was still beating. The Mayans were not as cruel as the Aztecs were. The Mayas did not sacrifice people as often as the aztecs did. The mayas sacrificed their prisoners who often alot had ill fortune
