it is people with strange creatures that follow them, and then suddenly they find out they are not normal, your character could like, wake up one day with wings or have wolf teeth, or might wake up as a creature, and the creatures are actually spirits from different dimensions with its own element, like fire or wind, and the creature ( and your character ) have their own element ( dont ask me, I got a bit of this from bakugan ) your character could also have problems, like unable to control a mysterious power, or might become lost after turning into a werewolf or something like that and running off ( XD ) or anything like that
