(Are you here?)
-
'Look to your far right.' Isaac instructed. He didn't seem at all offended by the fact that he had been called a wretch. 'You'll see me. In the alley. I'm surprised you didn't notice me before.'
-
Carnival shakily followed his orders, pulling the hood further over her eyes so he would not see.
She looked into the alley, at the dark form standing there.
"What is it that you want, stalker?" she called to him, lifting her gun slightly in his direction, just in case. -
'Me? A stalker?' he asked, innocently. Then, he chuckled quietly. 'I assure you, I wasn't stalking you. I never noticed you were there, until you spoke. I'm here...strictly on business.' he thought of the young boy's nude corpse, laying beside him.
-
Carnival allowed her eyes to stray from the person, something she knew better than to do. There was a dead body on the ground next to him. Carnival did not want to know the details of the corpe. She looked away, appalled. She would never usually have looked away from another person.
He's dangerous. I can see that. I must not allow anyone who is a threat to survive, lest it be at the cost of my life.
She still didn't want to look, didn't want to see the poor body. -
'Really nothing to worry about, now is there?' he replied, that ominous Russian accent of his deepening. He turned and started to walk away, dragging the corpse with him. Little did he know, something was going to happen. Something that would endanger them BOTH....
-
Carnival leveled the gun at the back of his head as he began to walk away, dragging the unfortunate body with him.
"Take this." she said to herself, wondering if he could hear her this time. She aimed carefully to assure that she could not miss. -
Suddenly, he spun around, feeling another presence. Not just him and this stranger. He turned and saw another person, pointing a gun at the back of cloaked stranger's head. 'Look out!' he exclaimed, grabbing a knife from his pocket and tossing it at the other assassin.
-
Carnival was frozen for a moment. A knife. It flew in her direction from the hands of the killer. Had he heard her after all? She closed her eyes, hoping for the best. Whatever that was.
-
The knife hit the other assassin directly in the eye. Isaac waltzed right past the stranger and kicked the failed assassin in the side, making sure he was dead. 'Okay. Okay.' he muttered to himself, twisting the knife and pulling it out of the dead stranger's eye socket. 'Close one.'
-
Carnival still had her eyes closed. She could tell that the person had walked past her, but she didn't want to know what he was doing. She held her gun tightly, waiting for something to happen. She realized that how she was behaving was too much like how a girl would act, but even boys had their weaknesses. Surely it was still believable? She had no idea anymore.
-
'You can open your eyes now, it's okay.' Isaac told the stranger, who's gender he wasn't too sure of. He could see their face, even with the hood on. They looked slightly feminine. But he said nothing about it. He walked back to the spot where he stood before.
-
Carnival growled.
"Don't talk as if I'm a child. I'll open my eyes when I'm good and ready!" she snapped. She pointed the gun directly at his chest.
Now, in complete disregard of your abilities to throw knives as quickly as you do, I threaten your life once more! God, I'm stupid. -
'You have serious trust issues, you know that, don't you?' he smirked.'I just saved your ass and you act like this. Typical. If I knew whether or not you were really male, I would kill you on sight. Your just lucky I don't.'
Suddenly, an evil-sounding, hissing voice interrupted Isaac's speech.
'YOUR DEAD.' it growled, from nowhere. 'YOUR ALL DEAD.' -
Carnival ignored what he had said about her being a boy and looked around. That strange voice.. she searched the streets around her, unable to see where it had come from. She removed her aim from the killer person, instead seeking the voice.
