Sulfur gently pushed Ren toward where Gemma and James stood.
"Well, there you go. Once you're strong enough to handle a gun, we'll come back to it." she encouraged.
(this is part of my effort to do the whole "not interacting with ourselves" thing!) -
(Nya is happiness. And I'm a kitty. =^._.^=)
I elbowed James. "You stay here." I led Ren off into the woods.
(Now I have no clue what to do... And Sun, did you ever take the quiz?) -

Sulfur sat down, bored. Training up Ren's strength would take a long time. Weeks, maybe monthes. What was she to do while she waited for that? She looked dully around at James and Alyssa. -
(You have to teach James to shoot.)
James stared at Sulfur.
I led Ren into the woods, then stopped in the middle of a clearing. "You want to try karate? I know some, and it's strengthening and helps focus." -

(Okay, but what do you want me to do about it? Sulfur won't just say, "Hey, I'm bored, so I'm gonna teach you how to use a gun." That would be awkward. And I took your quiz. Grrr.. Elmo.)
"Sure!" Ren said eagerly, determined to get stronger as fast as she could. She stood in wait of Gemma's instructions.
Sulfur stared at her gun, looking in between it, James, Alyssa, the frog guts, and back to it. -
Sulfur shrugged.
"I don't know." she mumbled. -

James looked down at the frog guts. She'd shot it without even aiming. He wanted to try to shoot a frog. Or another animal. Or maybe even a person. He wanted to be an assassin like they were. "Teach me how to use a gun."
I smiled and stood next to Ren. "Okay." I did the move slowly, explaining what to do. "Now you try." -
(Yes.. I did enjoy the throwing of Elmo into a wall...)
Sulfur looked up at the boy, surprised. "You want to learn to use a gun? What for?" she asked suspiciously.
"I'll tell you right now, Ren has claim on our lives."
Ren sneezed, then moved herself around, trying to copy Gemma's move. She moved slowly, but still slipped on the rain-slick grass. She landed with a thud on the ground. -
(See? And it wasn't dirty at all! The dirtiest was someone about to take their shirt off in front of Prince Caspian.)
"I want to be an assassin, too." James looked at the frog guts, then at Sulfur, then at one of the guns.
I helped Ren up and showed her a simpler move. "Here, let's do it at the same time."
