"Jess?" Niky asked, once they were home. "Why do some people not like nekos?"

Jess shrugged. "'Cuz they're too stupid to see how great you are."

"Yeah, we sure are great." Niky said, smiling. "You're great too, Jess."

Jess smiled. "Nah, not as great as you, Niky."

"Am I really that great?"

Jess opened the front door and set Niky down on a chair at the kitchen table. "You sure are," she smiled and pulled out some first aid supplies.

Niky smiled. Jess truly was the best friend out there.

"Okay, where does it hurt the most?" Jess asked Niky.

"Here." she said, pointig to the corner of her eye.

"Hmm.. Did you kinda bump into the man? It's probably just bruised. Just tell me if this hurts too much," Jess applied a little bit of eye-safe ointment on Niky's bruise.

"Okay." Niky said, "And, I'm not acually sure. I guess I did."
