Chat PJO is in Trump’s banned book list for project 2025 wtf
It’ll only be in school libraries for the us and it doesn’t effect me whatsoever but like dayum -
I love how he's decided that as if it isn't one of the most popular books in America
Dude the first book required literature in my school because of how well it teaches empathy to teenagers and it's literally award winning you can't just remove it -
It's in most people's houses, and it's so easy to find pdfs of it online, idk what he's tryna prove

ALSO the book being banned just gives it more bragging rights (*cough* All Boys Aren't Blue is a good example of this. It was bought WAY MORE after governments started banning it and that's what a lot of it's marketing strategy has been revolved around)

What is going through this guy’s head tho that’s what I’m wanting to know -
I did a history project on nazi book burnings and book bannings last year so I have a s--- ton of information on this stuff but like why-
The funny part is the librarian at my school has lots of lesser known books for the gaes in our school because I think she's realized that it's the award winning authors that get banned- (also they tried to get Heartstopper removed from my school and she did a girlboss move and got the 5th one so like she slays) -
If they remove it from my schools library I'll donate an entire set to it (my house has 3 xD)

Help why is that so real- I was part of the pride group at my school for a while (I stopped going bc I was losing sleep and didn’t want to have to wake up early for it) and the librarian recommended us gay books every other week xD

That's awesome- my favorite teachers will talk to me about how flawed the logic behind banned books is during free periods, and my geography teacher and a few of my old english teachers have entire sticky notes from me telling them what banned books they should read
ok but genuinely how is he gonna ban it from schools because not only would he have to remove it from every library in America (which from what I know, banning books is a state/school district controlled thing, not a country controlled one) but he'd also have to remove it from literally EVERY CLASSROOM because every class at least in the schools I've been in has books on shelves for students to read after tests/for free time/for book reports and EVERY SINGLE classroom I've ever been in has had at least ONE of the Percy Jackson books (including TOA, Kane Chronicles, and Magnus Chase) -
Frrr what even is the purpose of banned books at this point- a children’s book called “Ban This Book” explained the flaws of banning books then WAS BANNED so to me it’s seeming like it’s only purpose is to oppress minorities and lessen the amount of media about said minorities
Idek man trump is a freakin weirdo- from what I’ve seen it was only supposed to be banned in school libraries which doesn’t make sense because there are things called b o o k s h o p s and p u b l i c l i b r a r i e s so like-
