think im gon do some shiz on sum command blocks, jus sort of testing it out to see if it works and try to make a minigame out of it lmfao -
it works :D

basically I was testing to see if I could make a compass point towards a player by use of a repeating/always active command block
posting this here so I don’t forget it
1. make command block repeating/always active
2. add command -
/execute as (usernamehere) at @s run /setworldspawn ~ ~ ~
(or, if it’s someone else, do this -
/execute at (player u wanna track) run setworldspawn ~ ~ ~)
3. in chat, type -
/gamerule commandblockoutput false
4. stand on command block and type -
/tickingarea add circle ~ ~ ~ 4 nameoftickingarea (ticking area can be named whatever u want) -
alr now i wanna see if I can get ppl to spawn with the compass on them

another note for self
/spawnpoint sets spawn of a player and doesn’t affect a compass, /setworldspawn affects a compass and it only affects players who aren’t currently in the game -
