Thread Topic: My name is Road.

Just got called Cold, and realized it's been a while and there have been a few new users since the last time I actually made a point of introducing myself. So. Hi! My name is Road. I'm 25 and my pronouns are they/them. If I haven't properly met you yet, or if you just want to talk, or perhaps if your pronouns or preferred name have changed since we last talked, feel free to stop in and say hi!
-
I don't remember if I informed you, but I prefer Alex, instead of Curo. Also, preferably xey/xem, or they/them. I might have referred to you as he/him before but now I know!
-
Got it, Alex! Thank you for sharing. I want to apologize in advance if I f--- up your pronouns- I'm trying very hard to learn but I'm still really confused by how to conjugate xe/xem pronouns. I'm doing research right now, actually, but I'm having a hard time finding a resource that explains the different conjugations. ^^'
-
I always thought you were much older than me, yet- nope. Same age. Atleast i think. Idk what year it is, I stopped keeping track in 2015. Lol
Heya human Road. Been a while.
All about me is still the same. Still a Mop, still Cody. Use whatever you want to pronoun-wise, I dont care. -
So like they/them.
Xey/they went to the store
It's xeirs/theirs
That's xem/them.
Xey're/they're at home.
Like that. Use it like they/them. If they/them is easier, use those! I don't care. Just don't pin a gender to me. I hate it. -
Aaaayy!! I've been laboring under the assumption I'm the oldest person here. I'm glad to hear we're the same age! Makes me feel less like an ancient horror lmao
Hi Cody! It's good to hear from you, how have you been?
That's good to know, Alex, but there are people who strictly use xe/xem pronouns, and I really need to learn how to use those so I can treat them with the respect they deserve. I'll get it, for sure. Thank you for the explanation, I'll practice it!!! -
Lol think I'll be 25 in 2(or so months) had to look at a calendar for what year it is. It is 2022, yeah? I think. Think that's right.
I have been well. I'm like a flat line. No hills or drops, just a smooth line, yeah? Nothing interesting has been happening here, though that's usual. What about yourself? -
That's good though! The world is crazy right now, so no drops is better than the alternative, even if there are no hills either lol
I'm stressed af, but it's fine lmao
I'll be okay. Things have been getting better for me steadily. I got a car after wrecking my last one, and a job I can tolerate. -
That's true.
Ah? Sure you'll be? If one may ask, that is. Glad you'll be okay, if so. Didnt get hurt when you wrecked the last one, did you? It is good that you got another one though, I think. -
Yeah, like Raiden. I know neopronouns can be difficult to learn how to use. There are lots of others actually but I think xey/xem is the most common.
-
Uhhhhhhhhh... I'm pretty sure. I hope. I don't know, but raining on my own parade isn't gonna help, so I'll assume I'm gonna make it until I don't lol
I think I broke a rib when I wrecked the last one, but other than that, no, I'm okay. ^^ -
Exactly. Raiden is a very dear friend of mine, and I want to be able to address xem properly. I appreciate your help and your understanding.
-
Ever need someone to talk to, I am usually somewhere if needed, if itll help- that is. As I say to many animals, I am usually available to listen if anything. Cant promise much else ha.
My dad has been in many wrecks in his life, and he is still doing great. Just the past 5 years, been in 3 it seems. Sorry there.
Glad that you're okay on that subject(?) though, could have been worse. -
Yeah, of course. I enjoy helping. When I like the people I'm helping.
Any tips on a first day of freshman year in high school? I'm super nervous since it's a new star, new teachers and new kids. -
I appreciate that, Cody.
oof I feel that
my dad drives like a f---in demon and he's totaled a lot of cars over his lifetime
ahhhhhhh if I'm being honest I'm repressing my memories from high school
If you don't mind a bit of a lengthy anecdote, though, I do have one bit of advice/a memory I'd like to share with you.
