Thread Topic: What do you wish all newbs knew?
-
Something that happened a lot back in the day that i've seen several times since coming back is taking drama to an unrelated thread just because the person you're beefing with is talking to a different person. I'd assume that to be obvious that's a major faux pas but who's to say, people get blinded by rage ig
-
That's a good point! I'll probably expand on it a bit because beyond pursuing people into another person's thread to fight with them, it's also a big issue that people go into a thread because they see someone in it that they want to talk to, and then only address that person and change the subject completely. That comes across as rude and exclusionary to the person they're in that thread talking to.
At least, that's how I've always understood it. I'd love input on this subject. -
Same thoughts here, definitely. It just feels really off when a thread gets hijacked by an angry person or someone who doesn't GAS what the other person in the prior convo is talking about. Like I wouldn't go as far as to call it stalking but it always feels really iffy and makes talking to folks harder sometimes

Sorry for the late response. I definitely agree! I think a limit within 5 threads in one setting is around what I was thinking of. 1-2 definitely sounds reasonable

Cool. We'll include that then. Thank you for your help!
