I also feel like there should be a couple new features to avoid conflicts
1.'House arrest'
The user is only able to post in threads they make, but others are still able to talk to them if they want to. The user could be under house arrest for as long as the mods believe they should be but their posts will still be public so if they continue in their behavior they will be censored or banned
2.'Mod threads' Threads that only the mods can make or access. Can not be seen by public unless status changed to public but people still can't post other then mods. This is for private discussions between mods without someone random interrupting them.
3.'Allow/ban features' Users can ban others of their own (and only their own) threads. They could now also be censored. Status should always be allowed to be changed in the user's user page. Instead, you could also only allow certian people on them or not. You can never block or censor mods though. -
We don't really need excessive rules like that. We really only ask that we keep the community peaceful and inclusive to all. If we all treat each other with a level of respect for all, we won't have any need to punish users here with rules like that anyway :)
Also, between me and u, we have a secret mod forum anyway that only mods can see 🤫 -
Avoiding conflict should typically be as simple as considering the impact of your words before you speak..
if for some unexpected reason you cause a conflict resolving it looks like this
Sometimes people will take offense to you regardless of if your words were meant to cause offense. You can't control how others react to you all you can control is how you reply to their reactions.
You just have to decide for yourself
a) was their reaction justified
b) can I try to understand where they were coming from
c) does this conflict have a high probability of repeating or can we remedy it
d) if it's likely to repeat, why is that and is there a solution to it
e) is this environment healthy for either or both parties or is it lending itself to further misunderstandings -
I hope that came across the right way. I'm still waking up but wanted to share my personal thoughts on it all.. not necessarily for you but for everyone. Conflict management is everyone's job.
It's also something I'm working on in my personal life so a part of that is for me too. -
Personally I'm happy to have you back, I think you've apologized in honesty even though you did get attacked unfairly at times, it's good to see you back bro

yeah honestly on the last conflict there was raging on both sides. later someone called me a racist. what do you expect, everything is racist. try looking up "are ____ racist?" and fill the blank with almost anything(can't be specific, eg. tree, corn, paper, etc.)lol and it works! I'd never thought my 14-year old mind could make adults rage. I have tried to be as logical and reasonable as I can, but it seems society has been too gullible to the crowd lately. Also, what all happened when I left? I expect nothing to change.
