Realizing I had ADHD as an adult was very emotional in and of itself but sitting down with my parents and having them say they knew I had it all along and never told me because they thought that would "enable me?"
Man that was something else. So much of my depression stemmed from cognitive dysfunction and wondering why I couldn't just perform like my peers despite being mentally capable of doing so.
What to take from all this? Get your kids the help they need. Your not "enabling them" by getting them diagnosed smh -

We need better laws to protect animals. Like I can't believe pets are considered property

I wish all shelters were no kill. I wish more people understood that animals are complex creatures who absolutely feel emotion. It breaks my heart how many animals are abused and neglected. We need stronger adoption policies and it needs to be easier to take animals out of abusive situations
