Is a hotdog a sandwich or not?
-
Yes
-
If it was a sandwich it'd be called a sandwich but it's a hotdog
-
What Seth said. Hotdogs and sandwiches may have similarities, but they are two different types of foods that are served and eaten differently
-
It follows the definition of a sandwich, though
But what if you though of it like a little hoagie sandwich? -
Yesn't
-
It's not a sandwich because sandwich has two separate breads and even half sandwiches are usually split in separate
Therefore, I propose that it's a taco -
But a wrap also constitutes as a sandwich, and that's one piece of bread.
-
Another thing is if you broke the bun, would it then be a sandwich?
-
Then you have a boring non hotdog
-
If you took a hotdog and cut it into thin slices and then served it with two broken apart hotdog buns, would it then be a sandwich?
What exactly makes it not a sandwich. The name? The meat? The bread? -
It is not a sandwich because I say so.
-
It follows the same principle as tomato being a fruit. It is technically a fruit although "fruits and vegetables" are not actually biological classifications. Therefore they can be flexible and a hotdog can be a sandwich and a hotdog at the same time
-
NO, A HOTDOG IS NOT A SANDWICH
-
It’s socially unacceptable to call a hotdog a sandwich
