If you haven't had your period yet, it should be arriving pretty soon. Most people start them between 12-14, so it makes sense. This is going to sound nasty, but take some toilet paper and use it to find where the bleeding is coming from, if you really think it might be rectal bleeding. Just press it to that area and then look at the toilet paper.

A lot of times before you get your actual period you'll have what is called spotting. It's just a bit of blood when it isn't your time of the month, and it can mean that you should be watching for it soon. Other symptoms are cramping, below your stomach and kind of to the sides. Also bloating and headaches, as well as increased irritability and hot flashes.

If you do the check i explained and it isn't rectal bleeding, you should talk to your mom, it very likely is your period.
