What kind of security cameras? Again, what proof of this ability has he actually demonstrated? I think he's bluffing to freak you out. I really doubt he knows how to actually do that, as most cameras these day have clouds that can't be accessed through the device that does the recording. Ring cameras are great! They go straight to your phone.
I wouldn't wait. I know it's scary, but he sounds actually dangerous. Again, I don't want to freak you out, but I think you are right to be worried. People like this only escalate. You're only a freshman/sophomore, right? That's a long time. Please don't wait that long to take preventative measures.
No friend would act like this. He doesn't deserve your pity if he's scaring you. -
As fif said, he's making that s--- up. He's just trying to freak you out- Which is a f---ed up thing to do! Not something someone who cared about you would do.

Yeah I'm a freshman. And we have Ring cameras in our house. Also I can wait that long, my plan is to just slowly distance myself from him, and send vague text responses until he eventually just gives up on conversation with me. THEN cut him off.

Because I've been through much worse. Some kids making fun of my freckles and hair is not that much of a problem to me.
The teacher just chuckles, she doesn't join in.
