Allow me to brutally honest for a moment: Fūçk those people. Be who you truly wish to, and if they have any problems, they can go fornicate themselves. We've both been where you are now when we were your age. People never approached me because I was considered a freak, a loser, or just whisper amongst each other and saying rude remarks. It was only when people actually got to know me that everything changed. So, long story short, I can relate to you.

true. it's always hard to know when to tell them to back the f**k down, but i either snap too soon or too late and it doesn't help. my friend group is made of members of the lgbtq community and we're all outcasts in the school, some more "popular" than others. there are days where i just wanna give up, but what would that do?

Don, if your friend group is made up of actual friends, you should talk to them. If they really care, they'll understand how you feel left out with them getting all the attention. They'll either be more inclusive and introduce you to others as well, or leave the people who worship them alone. True friends stick together... -
Don't give up. Sure, there may be days where everything feels lost, but keep your head up. I'll admit, high school/secondary school was basically a massive popularity contest, but popularity won't get you far in the real world. You'll be fine. You've got this.

Additionally, to answer why Brandan and I are drawn towards people like you:
We're the outcasts of our "peer groups", so to speak. Nobody really interacts with us online or irl when we're around others. We know how it feels to be left out. So, whenever we spot people like that, we tend to give them a sort of safe place. -
