It said that garlic juice affects magnets.
I looked it up to see what in the world it was talking about.
It turns out someone misread something and it made EVERYONE think that garlic and onions affected a magnets magnetism.
I mean, they weren't even allowed on ships. -

And then everyone believed that onions and garlic affected them. -
Also the misread thing was written in Latin.
