Football is called football because of the size of the ball
I never knew this and so I was always so confused as to why it was called football and why we didn't call soccer football

We call soccer football here so I just thought football was called football cus u kick the ball around w ur foot LOL

American football is called football because the ball has to be a minimum of 1 foot long
Soccer came from the official name of the sport, 'association football' -
