mmmmm incoming rant
so like
I've made dinner almost every night since my dad got custody when I was 15
and I've also carried the majority of the emotional labour of this household on my back since that time
I've had to care for my younger sister
he expects me to clean the house daily as well and keep track of all the food and meals and stuff
until a year ago I also did all of the laundry and s--- like that
but like any time I ask him to make dinner he freaks out
like today he stormed out of the house complaining about how he has to "do everything here" and how he's going to stop paying the bills and s--- and "see how we like it"
sorry sir I didn't realize you getting drunk as soon as you get home and then leaving to go to your girlfriend's house for two days without telling us was doing "everything"
guess I just imagined those years in high school where I had to be the surrogate parent for my sister and manage the house while also juggling my disability and school and trauma while you frequently went MIA and didn't return calls or let us know where you were going or if you were even safe -
he thinks we owe him everything just because he gives us a place to live
honestly I feel like I never had parents
